80 series sighting (3 replies)

On my way to work today I saw a two tone (sliver/red?) 80 series with some sort of black front bumper (ARB?). It also looked lifted with bigger tires. It had just exited the 5 southbound onto Maisonneuve in Hull.

Sorry for the poor description, but it was headed away from me. Anyone here?

looking at buying a 1986 landcruiser (no replies)

Hi,

I just registered as a member today as I am in the process of buying a 1986 landcruiser. It is a diesel, no rust whatsoever, with 265000km and a rebuilt transmision. The owner is asking 14900.00....is that a fair price for that year and in excellent condition? It has A/C, 5 speed manual and very clean inside.

Thanks for your time,

Tim Taylor-yes, you can call me the Toolman!!

Shipping Landcruiser... Or buying one (no replies)

Hey Guys,

My name is Stephen Lau and I'm from out in Victoria in BC. I'm going to be heading there to work for 4 months over the summer starting in around May of 2009. I'm looking to ship my landcruiser from BC out to Ont. If anyone knows anyone driving a truck out from BC to ontario near may or the other direction around Sept I'd be interested in getting in touch with them. I'm willing to pay for a uhaul trailer and some gas money if they're interested in towing a trailer across.

On another note if anyone's selling a mid 70's or newer FJ40 I'd be interested in hearing from you...

My Cruiser is a 1975 FJ40 that I bought last aug. I've been doing a fair bit of work over the last few months and it now has an aluminum tub and new suspension. Other changes are planned for the summer if I can find a reasonably priced way to transport it out. (Train's about 1000 dollars each way)

I can be reached by email (Toshi38(AT)gmail.com) or I'll check back on this forum. Either way I look forward to meeting some of you when I head out east.
